I began working on the commercial brokerage side after graduating from Illinois Wesleyan University with a Risk Management Degree in 2001. From the beginning I wanted to learn as much as I could so I worked for some of the larger agencies in Chicago including Near North Insurance, Arthur J. Gallagher, RBN and Mesirow. During that time I met and forged relationships with some of the most talented insurance professionals in the country. Throughout my career I have always wanted to find a way to separate myself from the competition. I strive to do this by knowing coverages better than my competition and specializing in high risk exposures. With Belmont, my goal was to create an entrepreneurial playground free of red tape where we can negotiate great deals, create meaningful partnerships with our carriers and clients and inspire employees to achieve their personal and professional goals. When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my wife and son. They are a constant reminder of what is most important.

JOE SALVATORI, 
Co-Founder and President

I began working in the commercial insurance industry after graduating from Illinois State University in 2009 with a degree in Finance. It was clear from the start that being an insurance broker was a perfect fit for my skill set. Growing up with a father who ran a successful business for 41 years helped me understand what business owners really do on a daily basis. My dad was so busy running day to day operations that he had to put faith and trust his partners and employees. It is something I always think about when I meet with a client or potential client. They are putting their trust in me to protect everything that they worked hard for, so I better be doing everything I can for them. Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, I focused on growing my business in the Chicago area. I'm proud to say that I grew my book around I-294. Two of my favorite things about being in insurance are learning all about the unique business processes of my clients and, most importantly, the people I have met. The most enjoyable part of my career has been getting to know some great people on the carrier side and the long term meaningful relationships I developed with my clients. When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my wife and daughter. I enjoy anything to do with sports and competition and spending time with family and friends.
